Sub-Committees

Sub-Committees are created to discuss and develop solutions to specific task areas; supporting the work of the Executive Committee (EC). They are usually chaired by an EC Officer, and made up of members of the party, experts and professionals in relevant fields, as well as members of the public.

Events (Chaired by Len Tawn)

Our launch events and public meetings are essential to our communication and consultation with the public; they are the primary way we ‘get the message out there’. Working alongside the publicity team, this sub-committee plans and facilitates our functions around the county.

Manifesto Development (Chaired by Andrew Simmonds)

This sub-committee is responsible for developing a manifesto which really represents the needs and views of local people; taking it’s direction from the EC and experts in the field.

Campaign (Chaired by Mark Hubbard)

This sub-committee co-ordinates our election campaign across the county, which roles include designing generic leaflets, helping candidates with their own personal election material, organising training on how to get elected, directing volunteers efforts to best effect, amongst others. It is a huge job and each candidate will be expected to have their own personal team of family, friends & neighbours that will be supplemented by central volunteers.
